Bolt action rifle chambered for .358 Norma and manufactured in Japan by Howa to S&W specifications from 1981-1985. It features a blued finish on the receiver and bolt handle. The approximately 24" tapered barrel with a recessed crown, and bolt body are in-the-white. The magazine floorplate and trigger guard are painted black. Other important components include a three round magazine, hardwood Monte Carlo stock, no provision for mechanical sights, a Leupold 4-12x Vari-X IIc with adjustable objective (duplex reticle), manual safety on the tang, alloy trigger guard, curved serrated trigger, hinged floorplate, and oversized rubber recoil pad. Wood sporter after-market stock features a smooth semi-pistol grip wrist, a smooth forend, high comb, and right handed cheekpiece. The length-of-pull is 13 1/2". Bore is bright with strong rifling. The action appears to be smooth and crisp. The wood is very good with a few normal handling marks, and no cracks or gouges.
